Us Against the World?

Sometimes we feel like Elijah when he said, “I alone am left as a prophet of God.” In other words he is saying it is just me by myself. Don’t we all feel that way sometimes? We think it is us against the world and that we are fighting the battle all by ourselves.
We know enough Bible to understand God is with us and that should be enough. We just wish we had some company as we go through life; especially in difficult times. We would like someone to join in and put their hands to the plow, so to speak, with us.
God had to remind Elijah that He was not the only one. He told him that there were 7,000 that had not bowed a knee to Baal. Sometimes we forget about all the people who are around who are with us. Satan loves to get us to think we are by ourselves.
What are the lessons for us today? Number 1; let’s look around at the body of Christ for help. Number 2; let’s make room at the plow for them to help. Number 3; let’s not let Satan deceive us about the people available to us. Number 4; let’s not feel sorry for ourselves.
Remember we serve the King and His army is bigger than you think. May God bless us with a great week.
